Naples Guided Tour

The visit takes place from the famous Via Toledo, once the artery responsible for the movement of Spanish troops of occupation, is now one of the most beautiful pedestrian areas of the city.
It is possible in few minutes, to take the funicular that goes up to the hill, that overlooks the entire city center and where you can visit Castle Sant’ Elmo, an ancient Norman fortress which offers an incomparable view of the city, the Gulf and Vesuvius.Yoi can  also visit the Certosa di San Martino, a true masterpiece of Neapolitan Baroque.
Back on Via Toledo, at short distance you can visit the beautiful Galleria Umberto, a masterpiece of architecture of the end of ‘800, where in between coffee and shopping, you cannot resist at the temptation of the famous Neapolitan pastry: the “sfogliatella”  and the “baba’”
Within walking distance, the wide open spaces of  Plebiscito Square, surrounded by magnificent monuments such as the Church of San Francesco di Paola and the magnificent Royal Palace, where we can visit the magnificent royal apartments, the library, the park and also the famous Teatro San Carlo, incredible theater venue for international events.
Finally, from here you can take two of the most important shopping streets: Via Chiaia and Via dei Mille, hosting the most important Italian fashion brands they are a pleasant diversion before reaching the Caracciolo promenade (lungomare).
Here you will find Villa Pignatelli, which houses collections of paintings and applied arts, and Castel dell’ Ovo, the oldest castle of  Naples, its name comes from an ancient legend by the Roman poet Virgil – in medieval times considered a magician – this legend tells that he hid in the secrets of the building  an egg that kept the whole fortress standing. Its failure would have led not only to the collapse of the castle, but also to a series of catastrophic disasters to the city of Naples.
